LISTEN, your body is telling you something...

We all know when something is not right on the inside, don’t be oblivious to that voice.

We all know when something is not right on the inside, don’t be oblivious to that voice.

In the 21st century, we still believe our mind is disconnected from our body as if they were two completely separate entities. But they are not. What we feel, -our emotions, is the tipping point between wellness and illness.

I quit my job a little bit over a month. The first few days at home were terrific; everything was thrilling and exciting; it was like discovering the light of day all over again. But as time progressed, I allowed self-doubt to kick in. Did I make the right decision? If I had been more patient, would I have gotten somewhere? Did I kill my promising career? Am I going to be successful again? Did I shoot myself in the foot?

The problem with self-doubt is you're not only allowing the doubtful self take over, but you're also opening a portal to a wide range of negative emotions. You will begin to feel fear, abandonment, rejection, embarrassment; or even having the sensation that you don't fit in anywhere anymore.

I knew I was having negative thoughts. But, I didn't realize they had turned into emotions already. As we've said before our thoughts fuel our feelings, the way we think is the way we feel. Because I wasn't paying attention to my negative way of thinking, without me realizing uncomfortable emotions had taken over. My body, not knowing what to do with that amount of negativity, I got sick.

Still, you don't believe that what we think takes a cut in the way you feel?

Think about this, when there's excitement your heartbeat increases, when you are sad you're heartbeat slows down. When you are afraid you're body temperature rises and when anxious, your breathing becomes shallow. So imagine you have emotions you don't deal with for days, months, even years! Well, your body takes the mater into its own hands and deals with the pain somehow.

Each emotion happens to have an energetic fingerprint, it’s a unique vibrational signature attached to that particular feeling. According to many scientists and tons of research, there's something called emotional memory, which is the vibration of the emotion that gets stored in our glands, organs and tissue.

Our physical body can be changed by the emotions we experience
— Dr. Candace B. Pert

Did you know your brain registers physical pain in the same way as psychological pain? So, although negative emotions are difficult to deal with, or to recognize even, when you experience uncomfortable sensations, stop and think. Take five minutes to scan your body, name the emotion you have, and follow the trace to the thought that originated that feeling. Let go of it by overruling it with a positive thought. Becoming conscious of your inner self is the only way to prevent decay and sickness. So far it has worked for me, try it, I'm sure it will work for you too.

With love,
